The training programmes on Collection of U-POPs sample and Analysis of U-POPs for regulatory authorities, professionals and research institutions

During 09 - 11 February 2021, UNIDO in collaboration with Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM) and National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) organized the training programmes for regulatory authorities, professionals and research institutions via Zoom program. The training Modules IV : Management of U-POPs in Scrap Metal Industry consisted of;

1. Collection of U-POPs sample

2. Analysis of U-POPs

3. Reporting concentration of U-POPs

4. Onsite Visit

Dr. Siwat Phong Piachan, Director of NIDA Center for. Research & Development of Disaster and Dr. Ruchaya Boonyatumanond, Senior Professional Environmental Officer at Thailand National Institute of Dioxin were invited to be the honorable lecturers for the training.

Many representatives from various agencies participated in the training such as:

- Department of Industrial Works

- Provincial Waterworks Authority

- Pollution Control Department

In addition to this training, the project will organize the seminar of “Recycle Well, No UPOPs” which will be held on 25 February 2021 at Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok.
